The Pioneer Log’s guide to mail-in voting

This year, more Americans will be voting by mail than ever before. The United States Postal Service recommends that voters mail their ballots at least one week before their state’s deadline. Each state has specific requirements and guidelines for voting by mail. Most states and the District of Columbia also have ballot-tracking systems. According to CNN, Connecticut, Illinois, Mississippi, Missouri and Texas are the only states that do not provide ballot-tracking. If you have yet to submit your mail-in ballot or are concerned about your ballot arriving in time to be counted, this guide will provide you with important information concerning mail-in voting for your state. All information is sourced from Democracy Works, a nonpartisan nonprofit organization, unless otherwise stated.
