This is Paige’s first year working with The Log and second year at Lewis & Clark. She is beyond excited to take on the role of News Editor and can’t wait to experience Log life. Paige is an English major and was Editor-in-Chief of her high school’s magazine and fell in love with student journalism. She is always knitting a hat and recently learned to crochet, which has taken a toll on her bank account.
Lewis & Clark released new update photos of constr Lewis & Clark released new update photos of construction underway on Templeton Campus Center. To accommodate construction, power in the building will be unavailable on Aug. 6. According to LC's websites and estimates by Bremick Construction, the Trail Room is on track to open for the beginning of the fall semester. The Trail Room will offer extended hours for morning coffee, dinner and late night until 10 p.m. In order to accommodate these changes, Maggie's will be closed and reutilized according to an email sent to the community on July 22. Templeton Way is also currently blocked off to all car traffic, but paving is estimated to be partially complete in time for New Student Orientation and move-in.

Keeping in mind the common wisdom that opinions are crucial to a well-rounded liberal arts education, Emma is thrilled to join The Log as Opinions editor for her sophomore year. A lifelong writer and recent convert to student journalism, the opportunity to learn and grow among peers is invaluable.

Emma’s planned academic path is a major in International Affairs with a minor in Middle Eastern and North African Studies, followed by law school. Until then, she will stay busy with Speech and Debate, chairing the Honor Board and participating in the Philanthropy Society. Outside of school, Emma finds time for art, baking and a terrible shopping addiction.
